Don’t shelve community libraries

Hutt City’s seven community libraries are a valuable asset but they are under threat. Not everyone from the suburbs can or wants to drive to the city centre to use the library. Access to literature benefits the whole community, and provides a focal point for the community. In a recession, it makes more sense to borrow books than for everyone to buy their own. Everyone should be able to get use libraries easily and cheaply. So lets keep our community libraries.
